Brief Biography of the Organizers:

Dr. Han Huang is a system planning engineer at New York Power Authority, Transmission Business Unit. He received his Bachelor degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 1996, Master’s degree from Tsinghua University, China, in 2001, and PhD degree from Polytechnic University, NY, in 2005. All of them are in Electrical Engineering major. From 2004 to 2006, he served as a design engineer at Avionic Instruments Inc., NJ. From 1996 to 1998, he was an engineer with the Energy Simulation Company, China. In 2003, he was selected as a member of the Tau Beta Pi, honor engineer society, for his outstanding research record. He was associate editor and reviewer in journals and international conferences on power/power electronic areas, like IJETP, ISCAS, etc. His main areas of interest are power transmission system reliability and stability, power quality, FACTS & HVDC techniques, and power electronics application.
