.: Location: About Bucharest:
The 500-year-old city of Bucharest, with a population of 2,100,000, was once touted as the "Small Paris". Bucharest today, like any big capital, is a bustling modern metropolis full of life and diversity. Touting a rich and full history, Bucharest offers attractive opportunities to enjoy and explore.
Much of Bucharest’s past can be seen along Calea Victoriei and Piata Victoriei and the streets leading from them. Some of the points of interest on Calea Victoriei are The National Museum of History, The Romanian Athenaeum and The Royal Palace known also as The National Art Museum, George Enescu Palace and The Museum of Art Collections. .:Scientific Part
Review Process: Each paper was reviewed at least by 2 independent reviewers. The WSEAS Secretariat sent each paper to 4 reviewers. Some papers received reviews from 4 different referees. The WSEAS Secretariat forwarded these comments by personalized emails to the responsible for the correspondence author. The full list of the reviewers will be available in the web page: http://www.worldses.org/reviewers.htm

Only authors of those papers, which are found to have very positive response from 2 referees and which are modified sufficiently to take into account all the comments of (at least 2) referees of the conference are invited to send an extended version in the WSEAS Journals (WSEAS Transactions).

WSEAS sent a full report of the whole review process and the whole correspondence to the following international indexes that have recognized officially the Validity and the Reputation of the WSEAS Conferences: (see also: www.worldses.org/indexes )

  PLENARY LECTURΕ II
New control strategies for hybrid vehicles

Professor Gheorghe Livint
Tehnical University “Gh. Asachi”of Iasi,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering
ROMANIA

Abstract: The hybrid vehicle (or HEV) of today has evolved into a reliable and marketable product. The evolution of vehicle technology is ever going forward and the latest developments make electric traction technology suitable for virtually any application. Simple to drive, reliable, totally silent, with low emissions, HEV’s are ideal for city traffic. The main architectures of the HEV’s consists of: series hybrid structure, in which only one energy converter can provide propulsion power, a parallel hybrid structure, in which more than one energy converter can provide propulsion power, or a mixed structure of the series and parallel structures. Topics related to HEV’s comprise: the vehicles dynamics, the electrical motors, control strategies, the testing strategies and the real time control strategies. An overview of these topics with emphasizes on the real time control strategies that include simulation and experimental results will be presented.

PLENARY LECTURE III

Multivariate Polynomial Interpolation in Modelling Complex Systems

Assc. Professor Dana Simian
Head of the Computer Science Department
Faculty of Science
University “Lucian Blaga” of Sibiu
dr. I. Ratiu str, nr. 5-7, Sibiu
tel: 0040 – 269 – 216642

Abstract: Multivariate polynomial interpolation is a valuable instrument in modelling and simulation. A survey of the main directions in multivariate polynomial interpolation is presented in the first part of the talk. I present some original results concerning multivariate polynomial interpolation from classical and generalized polynomial spaces. Many interpolation schemes with potential applications are presented too. Taking into account the importance of the development of the interpolation schemes, I present some algorithms used for the construction of the interpolation spaces and of the interpolation polynomials. Aspects related to the analysis of these algorithms are presented too. In the last part of the paper I am discussing some modern applications of interpolation.

.:Social Part (Coffee-Breaks, Banquet, Excursions)

The Coffee, Tea, Sweets, Cakes and Pastries were available for the Guests not only during the coffee-breaks but from morning to night. WSEAS thanks the University Politehnica of Bucharest for this kind support.
The Banquet was superb, fantastic with many surprises. It took place in a Taverna: Churrascaria Carnivore www.carnivore.ro
This Taverna was in a walking distance from the Multiconference main Hotel: CLASS HOTEL. Participants enjoyed a wonderful self-service buffet (more than 30 courses) with many attractions and latin-american dancers (see the photos above).
Several Excursions and short visits to the monuments of the town took place before and after the WSEAS Conferences.
